GoThere ("we", "our", or "the app") is a relocation planning app that helps users organize their move abroad. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password via Firebase Authentication. We do not store your password in plaintext.

User Content: Tasks, calendar events, documents, and destination preferences you create within the app are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) and associated with your account.

Guest Mode: If you use the app as a guest, your data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to any server.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the app's features (task tracking, calendar, documents, decision tools)
• To sync your data across sessions when signed in
• To send local notifications for calendar reminders (with your permission)

3. What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• We do not use advertising or ad-tracking SDKs
• We do not collect analytics, location data, or device identifiers beyond what Firebase Authentication requires
• We do not use your data for profiling or marketing

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers. Firebase provides encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the app's menu. When you delete your account:

• Your user profile is removed from our database
• Your authentication credentials are permanently deleted
• Uploaded documents in Firebase Storage associated with your account are removed

7. Children's Privacy

GoThere is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data upon request

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
